About
End Lung Cancer in Alabama

Elizabeth Watson, a PhD candidate in public health, has founded End Lung Cancer in Alabama with the goal of educating the community about the risk factors for lung cancer, and improving access to early detection resources. While the number of new lung cancer cases and lung cancer deaths statewide each year is unacceptable, this journey is personal for Elizabeth, who lost her grandfather to lung cancer in 2021.

End Lung Cancer in Alabama hopes to offer improved education, guidance to resources and care, and support for patients and caregivers. Moving forward, we hope to affect change to the legislation affecting lung cancer diagnosis and care, as well as offer access to early detection to those who need it,  but may not otherwise have access.

Help us make the low dose lung cancer screening CT available to an expanded range of patients

Sign the petition to expand the number of patients who qualify for the early detection lung cancer screening CT. Early detection can raise the five-year survival rate to as much as 56%!
